TAM Goes To LIV Dallas
The Toledo Aerial Media team just wrapped up an unforgettable week in Dallas, Texas, working alongside LIV Golf and 160over90 to bring our signature Drone Golf Ball Drops to one of the biggest events in professional golf.
From June 25th to June 30th, we were on the ground—and in the air—at the LIV Golf Tournament at Maridoe Golf Club in Dallas. Over the course of the weekend, we executed nine Drone Golf Ball Drops in the heart of the Fan Village: three on Friday, three on Saturday, and three on Sunday. It was our largest event of its kind to date, and despite the intense Texas heat (we're talking 95+ degrees and full sun each day), the energy and excitement never stopped.
Each drop featured 500 custom LIV Green foam golf balls, printed with the LIV logo and individually numbered. The 160over90 and LIV teams prepared a spray-painted target near the short game greens, and when those 500 balls rained down from above, the competition was on! The rules were simple: the ball that landed closest to the center of the target was declared the winner. Prizes included exclusive tournament t-shirts or hats signed by one of the 13 LIV teams.
Behind the scenes, we arrived in Dallas on Wednesday night and dedicated Thursday to testing, dialing in every detail to ensure flawless execution. By Friday, we were ready—and the crowd response was electric.
Throughout the weekend, we had the chance to meet some incredible players and celebrities, including Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, Ian Poulter, comedian Chris Tucker, and Dallas Cowboys' own Trevon Diggs. To top it all off, our ball drops even made it to the official Ripper GC Instagram page, bringing even more exposure to the fun.
As always, we kept our own social media channels updated with behind-the-scenes looks and aerial views, showing followers the action from above.
TAM Principal Partner Chris Aldrich summed it up best:
"It was an honor to work with the LIV and 160over90 teams. After doing Drone Golf Ball Drops for over 8 years now, we have become a well-oiled machine. Nine drops over three days was our biggest challenge yet, but it definitely paid off. We are excited to see what the future brings when it comes to our work with LIV."
This event showcased not only the possibilities of drone technology but also the hard work, preparation, and precision that go into making these large-scale activations seamless.
We’re proud to have been part of such a high-energy weekend—and we can’t wait for what’s next. Stay tuned for more as Toledo Aerial Media continues to take fan experiences to new heights.
